Contact forms on this website record data provided by the submitter. This data is sent to us via email and is also stored securely on the website for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted. We use the information you provide to contact you regarding your request, and do not use this information for purposes beyond your request.

Google Analytics gathers analytical data only after acceptance of our cookie policy. Analytical data is sent to Google during your time on our website. We use this data to gauge content performance, and to improve our customer experience by optimising content and the site for the device types that are accessing the site most often.

Data storage

We take data security seriously. Website statistics are stored securely on our hosting platform and in Google Analytics, and are not accessible to the public. Information submitted via contact forms is temporarily securely stored in a database, and automatically erased after 60 days. Our disaster recovery solutions store a backup copy of the website once per day in UK datacentres. The on-site backup is retained for 14 days, and the off. The second backup is stored in another secure UK datacentre for a maximum of 90 days.

These backup copies are used only for disaster recovery purposes and rollbacks  only, and are never distributed, stored insecurely, or shared with outside parties.

How your data is processed and security measures to protect it

Personal data is processed by Big Salami Ltd. employees, and never sold or used outside the purpose with which it was provided. We do not keep data for longer than is required to fulfil tasks for which the said data was collected. Conformity with specific security measures is ensured in order to prevent data losses, illicit or incorrect use, and unauthorised access.

Big Salami Ltd. does not knowingly use its website to request data from minors or persons of less than 18 years of age.
